Each season is covered by one page, on which we have displayed the kits worn that year, including commemorative and variant kits, with an an additional page for photographs of the team line up or players.
From 1975/76 United wore far too many different combinations of kits to be easily displayed on a single web page. From this season there is a separate page devoted to each season's variations and the games in which the variations were worn in (see Match by match analysis).
We have made every effort to ensure that the information contained in this web site is accurate, but if you believe one of the kits is wrong or you have evidence that United wore a variant please get in touch.

Many of the photographs have been sent to us by our site visitors, and we are particularly grateful to Leslie Millman for permission to include photographs from his extensive collection and to Tommy Nielsen, who has sent many hundreds of United images. We have not yet been able to find photographic evidence of all of the team's kits, however, and are always grateful for your help? Where both long and short sleeve shirts were available, the final decision on which was worn being left to the players and so it has been impossible to include these differences in our match by match analysis.
